Dr. George Varish, III is a native of New Berlin, WI. He graduated from National College of Chiropractic in 1990. Dr. Varish has earned his certification in occupational health as a Certified Chiropracic Occupational Health Consultant. He is also a board-certified Diplomate in Orthopedics. Dr. Varish's advanced training also includes MUA (Manipulation Under Anesthesia). Dr. Varish takes pride in providing chiropractic care to families for general health and musculoskeletal conditions as well as in providing high quatlity care and treatment of work injuries.

Dr. Wendy L.C. Varish, DC, FACO, CCSP, CCOHC

Dr. Wendy Varish attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL. She obtained a B.S. in Science and Human Biology and a Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic. Dr. Varish then went on to achieve her degrees as a Diplomate of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (DACO), as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) and a Certified Chiropractic Occupational Health Consultant (CCOHC). She has also been accepted by the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists as a Fellow and holds the distinction of FACO. She has advanced training and is certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA). Dr. Varish teaches Chiropractic Technician and Chiropractic Radiological Technician certification courses in physiological therapeutics and in radiology. She is also an instructor for continuing education courses for Doctors of Chiropractic, CT's and CRT's with topics ranging from physiological therapeutics, anatomy, radiology, nutrition and clinical issues. Dr. Wendy Varish has special interests in family care, sports injuries, work injuries, nutrition, and pediatrics. She uses avariety of techniques specific for the patient, including Diversified (hands-on), Gonstead, Activator, and Thompson.
Dr. Varish has devoted time where her interests lie, as she is a member of several volunteer organizations. Her past leadership roles include Past-President and Board of Director of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association. Additionally, she has served on the Documentation and Protocol committees for the WCA and is a Past-President of the Wisconsin Back Society. Other organizations that Dr. Varish has been involved in include the Council on Pediatrics; the American Chiropractic Association; the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians; and the Federation for Chiropractic Education and Research. On a local level, Dr. Varish has been a long term volunteer and board member of the Howards Grove Advancement Association and a Charter member and Secretary of the Howards Grove Education Foundation. She was co-chair and organizer of the previous annual Howards Grove Run/Walk that raised money for local organizations. Dr. Wendy Varish also volunteered and served as the on-field doctor and trainer for the Howards Grove Tigers High School and Sheboygan Lutheran-Kohler Crusaders High School football teams from 2000 until 2012.

Dr. David Portmann
Dr. David Portmann is a 1992 graduate of Valders High School. At the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, he obtained a B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Northwestern College of Chiropractic in November of 2000. In addition to extremity adjusting, Dr. Portmann performs full spine adjusting to alleviate nerve irritation, complimented with a variety of specialized soft tissue techniques to stretch and relax tight muscles. This approach has proven effective in bringing about a rapid recovery of many complaints pertaining to the nerves, muscles or joints anywhere in the body.
Dr. Portmann's education and post-graduate education have mirrored his continuation of interests in the following areas: foot, ankle and knee diagnosis and treatment; clinical nutrition as it applies to chronic health; and a practical application of diet, lifestyle and work place modifications for recovery of injury and transition to a wellness lifestyle.

Dr. Susan Reinke
Dr. Reinke joined Howards Grove Chiropractic in September, 2008. Having worked as an Intern previously with Dr. Portmann and Dr. Varish, Dr. Reinke proved to be an excellent resource for quality patient care. As a recent graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, she places an emphasis on treating the patient as a whole person while aggressively diagnosing the cause of each patient's condition. In addition to recent clinical seminars, Dr. Reinke has completed a 48 hour course in Nutrition. Dr. Reinke has several special interests in patient care, including pelvic and sacroiliac conditions and extremity injuries and conditions.

Dr. Erik T Butzen, DC
Dr. Erik T Butzen, DC was born and raised in Sheboygan, WI and graduated from Sheboygan South High School. Having an interest in athletics and healthcare, he decided to continue his education at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree in BioMedical Sciences with an emphasis on Pre-Chiropractic studies. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he enrolled in graduate school at Palmer Chiropractic College in Port Orange, FL. During his time at Palmer, he worked as a student intern at the Palmer Chiropractic Clinic and became proficient in an array of chiropractic adjustment techniques including Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead, Flexion Distraction/ Decompression, and Activator. In addition to his studies, Dr. Butzen served as Vice President of Palmer Sports Council, volunteering his time treating athletes at countless Florida sporting events including United States Tennis Association Tournaments, National Lifeguard Championships, National Chiropractic Games, triathlons, mud runs, 5K’s, and many others. Due to his experience treating athletes, attending various seminars, and taking extra elective classes, he acquired many additional treatment tools to complement the adjustment including Myofascial Release Techniques, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), Trigger Point Therapy, PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) stretching, Kinesiotaping, and Rehabilitation Exercises. In his final stages of his education, Dr. Butzen moved back to his home state and served as a Chiropractic Intern at Howards Grove Chiropractic under Dr. Wendy Varish DC, FACO, CCSP, CCOHC. In March 2016, Dr. Butzen graduated Cum Laude with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer Chiropractic College, Florida Campus. In addition to his degree, he is certified by the National Chiropractic Board of Examiners, has a national certification in Physiotherapy, and is also CPR/AED Certified by the American Red Cross. Aside from his professional life, Dr. Butzen enjoys spending time with his family and friends, being outdoors, traveling, working out, playing golf, snowboarding, and of course watching the Packers.
